Wow I didn't realize that it has been a month since I wrote here. The kids started back to school and soccer and ballet. Every night but Friday we have practice for one or the other. Then we have games on Saturday and Sunday. N is loving soccer, which I was a little nervous that he would be to young but they have a four year old league and it is teaching him to work with others and sportsmanship. He is still on the waiting list to get into preK so hopefully he will get in soon.
TJ started physical therapy for his ankle on Friday. I don't know why they waited so long to do that and then the therapist told him that he may never be able to run again. Ever. Which sucks because he has been playing ball since he was a kid and he likes to get out there with the kids and kick the soccer ball around. He still does he just makes the kids run after the ball. LOL!
I can't believe that it is almost fall. Yay!! I love fall. We usually go apple and pumpkin picking around the middle of October. I love going to the orchards. Great fun.
Well its getting to be that time to start getting ready to get to the soccer field. Sunny has her game today. So wish her luck.

Never a dull day around here
So N who has a love for all tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) put TJ's metal hammer in the freezer we have in the garage. It was in there for quiet awhile because he comes in the house with it stuck to his tongue. Now he has a frozen hammer stuck to his tongue. Oh this is too funny. Of course he is a little freaked and trying to pull it off and it is not coming off. So I am trying to get him to calm down and not let go of it , and me trying not to laugh. So I get warm water and get his tongue off the hammer. Man, I tell you what is this kid gonna do next?

Ok It's taking a long time
So we bought our van back in May and got temporary tags for it. The dealership said that the DMV will be mailing out plates to us. Ok cool. The temp was good for two months. So as some of you know you have to get a temp pass to get on base. Well the temp expired and I call the dealership and they were like on problem we will just issue you a new one. But also our temp pass on base expired. They could only give me one more month for my temp pass and told me that if I still didn't have the plates after the pass expired I have to get a daily pass every time I want to go on base. OK really it is not that big of a deal we still have the car that has base stickers, but good grief. Can I please have our plates?
Other than that nothing much going on over here. We have been going to the pool and lake almost everyday. The kids have so much fun, but it sure wears you out. We also went to subfest on the 4th. It was fun, we bought the kids and hubby ride bracelets and they went on all the rides and least 3 times. N went on the big slide and pirate ship I don't know how many times. He would get off the ride and run around and go to the entrance of the ride. But that is why we bought the bracelets. The girls and hubby went on the ones that spun you around and went really high. I can't go on those they make me sick and I really don't like heights. They didn't do fireworks till Saturday and we could see them from our yard, so we didn't have to fight traffic or anything. It was pretty cool. Yesterday was the sailfest fireworks and we could see them from our yard too. Sweet saves us some gas, LOL.
Hubby finally got his limdu orders. He has his med boards in August, so they will see if he will be fit for duty. He will probably go back to a boat (hopefully not the same one) and finish his sea rotation, then get his shore duty orders and retire in about 4 years. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Hope you all having a good summer.

Schools out for Summer
School is out for the summer in my household. The girls' last day was yesterday. We have been going and going and now today we don't have much going on so we are jsut gonna hang out in the pool. My daughter had a ballet recital on Sunday. She did really well. All the kids did really well, and they all looked cute in their costumes.

They had the really little girls in cute little sailor outfits and little dog costumes. They were so adorable. They also had the bigger kids do some jazz numbers that was really good. I have a video but my computer is being stubborn and not letting me upload it. Argh !!! oh well I will figure it out. Hope you all are enjoying your summer so

I have been going non-stop for a couple of days now. It always seems that the busiest time of the year is when the kids are getting ready to get out of school. They had field day on Friday and end of the year girl scout ceremonies and parties today. I also have ballet recital to help with for next week. But it looks like by next week all the madness should subside and then the wonderful days of summer with kids running everywhere with wet swimsuits and sticky hands.

How do you get a cold?
My oldest daughter had a camp out with the girl scouts at Six flags. I had to go up there and get here yesterday, as the leader that brought her up there had to go somewhere, so couldn't bring her back. So I figured if I am going to drive an hour to go get her might as well stay and have day at the park with her. I made sure she had sunscreen on and I put some on, but my swimsuit went lower in the back then I realized and got a little sunburned. Whoops!! I woke up last night with a stuffy nose and coughing. How do get a cold sitting in the sun? I know you can get a cold from anywhere it just seems kinda odd. But as I was sitting in the sun I figured out the kind of vacation that I want to take. One with jsut me and my husband staying at a hotel and sitting on the beach doing nothing. I never really got to go on a honeymoon and every vacation we have taken was to go see family and with the kids its almost more work for me. So what would your dream vacation be?

I have been busy trying to register for school. I am going back to school for computer information systems and pc repair and dabbling a little in web design. I have a GI bill that I need to use before it is gone and with my kids all in school in the fall I figured that it would be a good time to do it. And it is only going to take me 16 months. YAY!!!
Other than that not much going on here. Hubby went back to work and now just waiting for his limdu orders to be cut and then he will go up to teach sub school. I can't believe that he only has 4 years till retirement. I remember when he reenlisted last time about 4 years ago and was thinking that this is going to take forever. Now it is coming up so fast. We are starting to put more money into savings and thinking about where we want to go. He has a couple months of sea duty and then it is off the shore so he can get house hunting and job hunting leave easier. We have a pretty good idea where we want to retire to, but it will depend on what kind of job he can get. He is going to go back to school when he gets to shore duty. So we will see. Well gotta run and get my yard work done before it gets to hot. Not that it has gotten very hot here yet or anything.

The fastest time ever
I went to the DMV today to return one of the plates from the truck. The other one was lost in the wreck. I get in the door and there are people everywhere. Great I get to spend a few hours at the DMV.!! So not what I want to do today. So I get up to the counter after about a 15 min wait and I give her the plate she prints something out on her printer, hands me the paper and says "your all set". What!! I am all done?? Yep she says. Sweeeet I am outta here. Then as we were walking out a guy carrying his laptop says "Oh great another looonnnnggg wait at the DMV". If only my other visits to the DMV could be that short.
