Adventures in NYC

Yesterday I went with my daughters' girl scout troop to New York City to see the sites and the circus. It was alot of fun, but also alot of worry. There were eight girls and four parents and we each had two girls to keep track of plus, as Moms we tend to look out for all the kids as a group. We did fine until we got to Times square. The sidewalks were so crowed and people were walking right into us. We only got seperated once, and thank goodness for cell phones. The circus was good, the girls really enjoyed it. They had elephants, tigers and zebras oh my! hehe The clowns were hilarious. I took alot of pics but the ones from the circus didn't turn out well. There very dark. I think I need a better camera. Hint Hint Wink Wink Anyway its getting late and I need to get ready for bed and tomorrow. Here are some pictures of NYC.

Too Early

I am up way to early. My son decided that at 4 in the morning, that he was getting up for the day. I tried to make him go back to bed, but after the third time of him sneaking out of his bed, I gave up. So here I am playing on the computer. Although, I have to admit that it is nice getting up before the rest of the family. I can get stuff done without having to start something, then only to stop to take care of a kid or whatever and forget what I was doing in the first place.

I am so excited about going to New York City this weekend to see the circus and all the sites to see in the city. We are going with the girl scout troop that both my daughters are in. They sold a ton of cookies to go on this trip. They really worked hard.
Then next week we have Spring Break. We are going to play tourists here in our town. Almost like a mini vacation without the hassle of hotels. Should be a ton of fun. Well off to get the kids ready for school. I need to remember to have them take their umbrellas as these April showers happen almost everyday. Have a good one.

My son is glued to the window this morning as they are tearing down the house behind us.

He loves all those kinds of machines. Bulldozers, back hoe diggers, tractors. I think he may end up driving some of those some day.

Leftovers and such

Thanksgiving was pretty good. I cooked the meal and actually enjoyed cooking. The turkey came out perfect and had everything else in and out of the oven on time. I made a couple of mistakes but no one noticed. Hehe. Who knows I might actually cook more. We are on the last of the leftovers and need to find something to do with the turkey before I have to throw it out. I might make a casserole or something. Now on to Christmas.

Happy Thanksgiving

Birthday and movies

Happy Birthday to me! So I was suppose to go see the movie Twilight with some friends, but instead got a monster migraine. The one that hurts so bad it makes you sick to your stomach. Ugh it was awful and I missed seeing the movie. The girls went and came back and they had mixed reviews. J is rereading the book and says that the movie was kinda true to the book. T was so disappointed, she has such high hopes for it. I still have to see it, but I am going in with little to no expectations. The movie is never as good as the books, no matter what book it is.

Decorate with a Sharpie

I was cleaning the house and I came across some markings on the wall in my son's room. I looks like he got into my Sharpies. So I was surfing the net to see what will take Sharpie marker off the wall and came across this story. Decorate with a Sharpie
My son's certainly didn't look like this.

Its the beginning of a new month. This year is going by so fast. It will be Christmas before we know it. It has been eight months since TJ's car accident. I can still remember word for word what the guy that called said that night. I never what to get a call like that again.

The kids soccer games were rained out today, so we are staying at home and doing nothing. We haven't had a day to just sit and do nothing, its either soccer, ballet, something for school or medical. Of course we will be catching up on laundry and room cleaning. Oh and speaking of school, N gets to start pre-k on the 6th. I will have three hours all to myself. What to do? What to do? Clean house, go to the gym, go grocery shopping all by myself. Oh the possibilities.
