I have been busy trying to register for school. I am going back to school for computer information systems and pc repair and dabbling a little in web design. I have a GI bill that I need to use before it is gone and with my kids all in school in the fall I figured that it would be a good time to do it. And it is only going to take me 16 months. YAY!!!
Other than that not much going on here. Hubby went back to work and now just waiting for his limdu orders to be cut and then he will go up to teach sub school. I can't believe that he only has 4 years till retirement. I remember when he reenlisted last time about 4 years ago and was thinking that this is going to take forever. Now it is coming up so fast. We are starting to put more money into savings and thinking about where we want to go. He has a couple months of sea duty and then it is off the shore so he can get house hunting and job hunting leave easier. We have a pretty good idea where we want to retire to, but it will depend on what kind of job he can get. He is going to go back to school when he gets to shore duty. So we will see. Well gotta run and get my yard work done before it gets to hot. Not that it has gotten very hot here yet or anything.

The fastest time ever

I went to the DMV today to return one of the plates from the truck. The other one was lost in the wreck. I get in the door and there are people everywhere. Great I get to spend a few hours at the DMV.!! So not what I want to do today. So I get up to the counter after about a 15 min wait and I give her the plate she prints something out on her printer, hands me the paper and says "your all set". What!! I am all done?? Yep she says. Sweeeet I am outta here. Then as we were walking out a guy carrying his laptop says "Oh great another looonnnnggg wait at the DMV". If only my other visits to the DMV could be that short.

Kids say the funniest things

So we got McD's for dinner tonight since I did not feel like cooking. I got the kids all chicken nuggets and French fries. The girls are playing over at the neighbors when we got home. So Nate informs me that the girls are not hungry and that he needs to eat the girls nuggets along with his own.

Total geek

I have finally become a geek. We have four computers in our house, I have a smart phone and now I have decided to go back to school and get my degree in network systems. I am going to learn how to fix computers and network them. What a geek I am. LOL!

Hubby got his cast off today and now has a walking cast on. This think looks like a star trooper boot from Star wars or something. He fills it up with air and it supports his ankle when he walks. The scars on he head are fading too. So he is getting back to normal and so are we, just scares me when he drives anywhere by himself. I don't ever want that phone call again.

I am so looking forward to a three day weekend. We have nothing planned but to sit at home and relax. We have been going non-stop this past week, I just want to sit outside, maybe grill something and just chill (or whatever it is kids say these days).

Say What?

Well I put gas in my van for the first time since I got it. We were still on the dealership gas. It took 70 bucks to fill. Holy Cow!!! but I still love my van.

Boys!!!

I let my son play outside in our backyard while I get some things done in the yard and sweep the floors. I look outside and there he is, he has his pants and underpants off, peeing in our yard. Oh my goodness!! I guess when you gotta go you gotta go.

Summertime

I just heard the New Kids on the Block's new song "Summertime" and got me thinking about the summer (yes I admit that I was a New kids fan back in the day, waaayyy back). I can't wait for summer! I love the warm weather and going swimming and bbq's in the backyard. Can you tell I love summer. Some of my favorite memories are that of summer and playing hide and go seek in the dark, or kick the can with the neighborhood kids. We usually take a road trip during the summer mainly to see family, but this summer with the gas prices and hubby still having a broken ankle I don't know if we going to go anywhere. What are your plans for the summer?

Birthdays and new things

Happy Birthday to my daughter Sunny who turned 10 today. I can't believe it, she is growing up so fast. I asked her what she wanted for her birthday and she said she wanted an ipod with the screen you can touch. Are you kidding me! I don't even have an ipod and an ipod touch at that. Just last year she was still asking for barbies. Pretty soon she will be asking for a car. Speaking of cars I finally got my mini-van yesterday. I have been waiting for six years, after the birth of my second baby, for a mini-van. It is amazing how having kids really changes the way you think sometimes, as a teenager and young adult I said that you would never catch me driving a mini van, but had my second and was like you know the vans are not bad looking heheheh. I wish though that I got it under better circumstances, we used the money we got from hubby totalling the truck to put a down payment on the van. Buuuuttttt I got my van!!!

Carnival in the Rain

So I took the kids yesterday to the carnival that is right down the street from us. We can see the carnival from our backyard and I was not about to tell them that we can't go since they can see and hear it. It opened on Friday afternoon and that is all they talked about. So we went even though the weather channel said that it was going to rain, but it only misted a few times, but it was really cold. The kids had a good time, they each had a favorite ride that they rode again and again, got some cotton candy and nachos. Totally blew all my points, but whats a carnival without cotton candy? Today we are just hanging around the house and having a relaxing day of doing nothing. I never thought that I would wish for a day to just stay home in my pjs and not do anything but read or play on the computer. I hope that you all have a great rest of the weekend.

Haha I thought I would so a flip flop test because its flip flop season. Not that you could tell today, it is raining and its cold rain. Yuck!! I want sun.

Hubby is still not at work. The doc on the boat told us that he was now attached to squadron, so he called them and was like I need to check in with someone so the yoeman was like hey you still belong to the boat, so hubby called the boat and they said that they will call us back and they still haven't called back. Its not like they are gone or something. I mean I like having him home all the time I can go grocery shopping with out a kid, but I don't want him to get in trouble. You know how the navy can be. Oh well pretty soon he will be retired and won't have to deal with the navy.

Well I'm off to get a hair cut and check out the gym on base. It is to yucky out to take my walk.
