A Night Out

This week has been nothing but go go go!! The kids were home for spring break and I made sure that we had things to do outside the house. I didn't want them inside doing nothing but watching tv or the computer and eating non-stop. We got a season pass to the aquarium and we found new parks to go to. We went and shopped at the Mystic village. I love all the little shops there. Hubby still has doctor appts. Today he has to drink this contrast stuff and get a ct scan to make sure the blood clot is gone. Hopefully it is. But tonight I get a break and get to go play bunco at a friends house. Well gotta run and get meds together and get these kids outside so I can clean this house.

Am I the only one?

Sub ball was this weekend and it seems that we are the only ones that didn't go. We were going to go but then the accident happened and we didn't go. I guess we could have but hubby would be on crutches and I don't think he could put his uniform on with his cast. I'm kinda bummed that we didn't but we that's life I guess. The group of "friends" that are from the boat went and looked like they had fun. I say "friends" because they only seem to invite me to do anything with them if one of them is having a home party and they need me to buy something so they can get free stuff. But whatever we will be out of the navy in a few years and I guess the good friends that I have met will live in my computer LOL!

What do I have to do to get an appointment around here?

Time is going by so fast these days, but then it seems I never get anything done. Between the girls activities in and out of school and making sure that my son gets some run around play time and my husbands medical appointments my head is spinning.

We've had such a hard time getting all this medical stuff taken care of. After his accident he was taken to a civilian hospital and had to have emergency surgery. So then the surgeon that did the surgery wanted a follow up. So of course we had to go through tricare and get the referral, but he had to see his navy doctor first but we can't see him for a few weeks because he is in Italy. I was like "oh good grief people he needs his follow up so they can make sure his inside are healing" so finally we get his referral and find out he may have a blood clot in one of his arteries. Great ok no problem his surgeon wants to put him on blood thinners, but we have to do it through the Navy medical so they can draw his blood regularly to monitor it. So I call them and tell that we need a appointment with his doctor to get him started on meds. The guy I talked to was like we can see him next week, I was like no you need to see him now, he has a blood clot and if that clot moves and goes to his heart or brain he won't be here next week. He was like I'm sorry ma'am that is what we have open. AHHH stupid medical so long story short we called and yelled at people till we got him in to be seen and on his meds. But it is like pulling teeth to get anyone over there to do anything. We have to make all these calls and talk to all these people to just do one thing.

We still don't know for sure what happened in the accident. I'm gonna go over to the police station and see if I can see the accident report. He doesn't remember anything from the crash. We got the payment from the truck so hopefully we can get a new car soon. My car is falling apart, so we are going to trade my car in and use the payment from the truck to get a minivan. I just wish he was better already so I can quit worrying so much. Thank you guys for the well wishes.
